Edward DeBerry
Ed DeBerry was born into a church of Christ family. His late father, John Sr. was a minister in the church for more than 50 years. Ed has two brothers, John Jr and Tony, both are ministers in the lord’s church.
Ed has labored at the University church of Christ since 1990 as a deacon, elder and evangelist.
Ed graduated magna cum laude and salutatorian in his class at Montreat College in North Carolina with a bachelor’s degree in business administration and biblical studies.
Ed retired as a Senior Producer for NBC News after 32 years with the company and 40 years in the television business.
Ed is now working with his brothers building the Eternal Truth Broadcast Network, producing and distributing spiritually sound family-oriented media content.
Ed has been married to his wife Carolyn since 1980. Their adult children, Alexandria and Jasmine are both very active in church work.
Dean Thompson
Dean Thompson received his bachelor’s degree in Communication studies from Wingate University in Wingate, NC and a graduate diploma from the Memphis School of Preaching in June 2021. He is currently enrolled in the Graduate School of Theology at Freed-Hardeman University.
He has served as an evangelist at University church of Christ since 2021. He is the co-founder of the Christian blog, Truly Anchored, and serves as a co-editor.
Dean has been married to his lovely wife Jasmine since 2017. They have two children, Nicolas Dean Thompson, who was born February 2021 and Eden Thompson born January 2024.
